A brow lift procedure is completed on an outpatient basis under monitored sedation or general anesthesia. The incisions are usually made behind the hairline, though they can be placed in front of the hairline for those with high foreheads. The surgeon uses an endoscope, a narrow instrument that is hollow with a camera and a fiber optic light source, through which the procedure is performed with special small instruments. In this fashion, the skin of the forehead is lifted and repositioned.
Perhaps your eyebrows are hanging too low or too close to your eyes, or your forehead is sagging; you may have given some consideration to forehead lift or brow lift surgery. Any surgery is going to involve some aspect of risk under any circumstances, so you are going to want to know all you can about the potential benefits and the risks before you proceed. Discuss your brow lift in Santa Monica with Dr. Steven Teitelbaum, who is recognized as one of the top aesthetic surgeons in the United States.
